Farmers’ market

Whilst it’s good that there’s a farmers’ market in Hebden, it’s a pity that it’s not accredited as a “real” farmers’ market with the national organisation FARMA. FARMA would insist that only produce grown/produced locally (normally within 30 miles) was sold, and that it was actually the producers who were doing the selling. Is it Calderdale who organise this market or someone else, and should there be an attempt to get it accredited? (Holmfirth’s farmers’ market is).

I understood that Calderdale Council were taking steps to get the farmers’ market properly accredited. I’ll find out how far they’ve got with it !
