The Real Cider Company is a wholesaler of cider, perry and apple juice to pubs, wine bars, festivals and retail outlets.
They stock a diverse range of over 70 pure, organic and traditional farmhouse ciders, perries and apple juices sourced from artisan producers across Britain. This is real cider and perry, made by hand from English apples and pears, using traditional techniques. Available in sweet, medium and dry varieties, to suit any palate. Supplied in bottles and bag in boxes.
The Real Cider Company launched in Summer 2010 and their aim is to make farmhouse ciders and perries as popular as real ale. Encouraging the traditional British industry of cider making to flourish is important, so they only buy from small, independent producers.
The Real Cider Company is based in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire and is the North of England’s premier craft cider and perry wholesaler.
The origins of The Real Cider Company date back to 2007, when The Stubbing Wharf, a local pub in Hebden Bridge decided to run a summer cider festival. The landlord asked cider enthusiast Phil Kennedy to source a selection of traditional farmhouse ciders and the first festival was born. The event was a huge success and has since grown in popularity with every year - this year offering over 70 artisan ciders, sourced from across the UK and beyond. The demand was such that Stubbing Wharf landlord Matt Browne decided to put craft cider on the bar as a regular feature - and hasn't looked back since.
