Heaven's Kitchen in Blackshawhead |
Tuesday, 21 November 2006 A new restaurant opened in Blackshawhead, Hebden Bridge last Friday night, for one evening only, as the children of Blackshawhead Sunday Club welcomed diners to "Heaven’s Kitchen", in aid of Children in Need. The staff at Heaven’s Kitchen wait to welcome diners: from left to right Nina Clayton; Rosie Orford, W.James Dargan-Cole; Zweyla Mitchell Dos Santos; Beth Reeder, Jack Reeder, Zahckoh Mitchell Dos Santos In the space of two hours over sixty diners enjoyed a two course meal in relaxing surroundings at Blackshawhead Chapel, with young bow-tied waiters and uniformed waitresses at their service. The idea, which had been thought up and planned by the children themselves, was a huge success, with over £400 being raised for the BBC children’s charity, and with a number of patrons disappointed that they could not book for next Friday We try to make sure that the Hebden Bridge Web news is correct, but if you are aware of any errors or omissions, please email us If you have comments on Hebweb news please make a contribution to our discussion forum More news from the Hebden Bridge Web
