Triger GunsPosted by John Morrison My curiosity got the better of me. I popped into 'Triger Guns' at Luddendenfoot, to see what I'd been missing. "Bloody hell, it's Harold Shipman", said one of the only two customers. The guy behind the bar apologised for having no beer towels and just the one beer: Fosters. He confirmed that 'Triger Guns' was a simple spelling mistake and that, since everyone still calls it the 'Coach and Horses', the pub will shortly revert to the old name. I'm still baffled. Why did no-one spot the spelling mistake before the expensive signs were put up? And even if they'd got the name right, what would 'Trigger Guns' have meant? I'm sure of only one thing: the place was damn-near empty on a Saturday evening... Posted by Andy Mackintosh Well done for popping in John - I never got that far. Suggested other names?
