Reading the table: The 6th column shows the average achieved by all pupils across the three subjects. The points tariff is: level 2 or below, 15 points; level 3, 21 points; level 4, 27 points; level 5, 33 points.

The final column shows the value-added measure. Broadly speaking, this compares how well the children did at key stage 2 with how well they did at key stage 1 (at the age of seven). The idea is to measure how much the school has improved their performance.
