Fingers crossed Calder Holmes Park Playground open this weekend

The joint Big Lottery and Calderdale MBC funded refit of the park is on schedule for being open this weekend – hoo ray. As we went to press the tarmacers were finishing off the surfacing with the remaining items such as swing seats etc to be fitted later in the week.

Hebden Royd Town Council have told the Hebden Bridge Web that they would like to thank everyone for their patience and hopes everybody will enjoy the new play area. You are invited to come and help celebrate at the official opening on the 11th July at 3.15pm, all welcome. In the meantime, the playground will be open for play.

Naomi Goddard, Project Officer Hebden Royd Town Council told us "in addition we are hoping to have the paddling pool tided up and filled with sand for the official opening and summer holidays with a proper refit, funded by the Green Business Network and Hebden Royd Town Council, scheduled for the autumn. This second phase of the project is being progressed by Friends of Calder Holmes Park in partnership with Calderdale MBC."
