Easter in the Park
with tea and scones
Tuesday, 18 March 2008
The Friends of Calder Holmes Park have told the Hebden Bridge Web that they are very pleased to announce some good news.
Over the four days of Easter, during the afternoons, the putting green in Calder Holmes Park is again going to be available for hire. Just turn up, pay the fee of a small fee and have a game. Putters and balls will be issued from the pavilion and we hope there will be lots of players.
When the Friends did some consultation with park users a frequent comment, especially from parents with young children, was how nice it would be to be able to get a cup of tea in the park. Well it’s going to happen.
Again just during the afternoons of the four days of Easter tea and scones will be on sale from the newly painted and smartened up pavilion. If this is successful, and enough people volunteer for the rota the Friends hope to make this a regular feature.
