Hebden Bridge firm seeks
eco trades people
A new Hebden Bridge company is on the lookout for local tradespeople with an interest or experience of environmentally friendly building practices. Green Refurb Ltd, based in Beehive Mills, is the brainchild of Jason Elliott and Chris Griffiths. They’re on a mission to update existing properties beyond current environmental standards and beat the threat of fast-rising energy costs.
“We’re aware that as environmental legislation becomes more stringent, particularly with the introduction of Part L of the Building Regulations, many developers are struggling to provide a wide range of sustainable alternatives within the buildings they’re putting up and we are here to help them.” Chris Griffiths told the Hebden Bridge Web. “But of course, the first principles of a green lifestyle are to repair and reuse. Many older properties, while not being inherently ‘green’, could vastly improve their energy rating by undertaking a range of relatively simple renovations and improvements”.
The company offers initial consultation and advice on both private and commercial property in addition to providing most of the work required. However, the team are looking to increase their offering with the support of local experts.
“We’re already receiving enquiries that we simply don’t have the staff to undertake. Wherever possible, we want to keep work within the local community, so we’re looking for a range of tradesmen with an interest in alternative technologies to help us satisfy demand.”
Any interested parties should contact Jason or Chris on 01422 844716 or via info@greenrefurb.co.uk for an initial chat.
