Upper Calder Valley Renaissance Tuesday, 18 September 2007 The Hebden Bridge Web has been informed that "a unique event is being held in conjunction with this year’s Mytholmroyd Gala and everyone is welcome to attend." Four years since they became part of the Upper Calder Valley Renaissance programme, Sowerby Bridge Forum, Royd Regeneration, Hebden Bridge Partnership and Todmorden Pride invites the community to "celebrate the progress they have made" and have an opportunity to discuss future projects. The drop in event, held jointly by the four town teams, who are all partners in the Upper Calder Valley Renaissance is to be held on the 22nd September at Mytholmroyd Gala Site, Burnley Road School, Mytholmroyd between 11.00 am and 4.00 pm. Fielden Wharf, Hebden Bridge Street Works and the new market at Sowerby Bridge have all been supported by the Upper Calder Valley Renaissance and the individual town teams. The town teams are now looking to the future with ambitious plans to continue regeneration along the valley, including long term projects such as Bramsche Square and the Sowerby Bridge – Copley Valley Scheme. As well as viewing progress so far, your help is needed to help shape future regeneration projects and there are opportunities to become involved in your local town team or with valley wide initiatives. The Upper Calder Valley Renaissance is part of Yorkshire Forward’s Rural Renaissance Market Towns Programme, and is supported by Yorkshire Forward and Calderdale Council.
