Honor Blackman and Ian McMillan

are two of the acts included in 2007 Festival
programme, to be launched this weekend

Lovers of theatre, music, art, literature and sheer entertainment are in for a treat when Hebden Bridge Arts Festival launches its programme this weekend.

Full details of the packed event schedule are under wraps until the official launch on Saturday, but the Hebden Bridge Web can reveal that highlights will include special guests Honor Blackman and Ian McMillan, and the Festival has also stolen a march on the Edinburgh Festival by securing two star comedians before they hit Edinburgh’s Fringe.

Then, there’s a fantastic Harry Potter send-up, Potted Potted Potter; Summer Frights, an evening of horror; Poetry, Prints and Chips – in, you guessed it, a fish and chip shop, and the Feminist Antique Roadshow.

The whole two-week extravaganza kicks off with the world premiere of Can’t Chain Up Me Mind by Grand Union Orchestra.

Programmes will start to appear in tourist information centres, libraries and other venues across the area from Sunday, May 13, and postal bookings open on May 14. The box office on Albert Street opens on June 16.

The programme will also be available here at www.hebdenbridge.co.uk/festival
