Money for War vs HIV/Aids

In a time when there seems to be money readily available to go to war, how saddening it is to hear of the desperate conditions of HIV and Aids sufferers in many of the poorer countries of the world.
The Mandela concert has brought the issue to the headlines again, the condition is rapidly increasing and many people in this country are continuing to contract HIV and Aids.
But for those in the West there is treatment available, for those in the developing world the cost of treatment is prohibitive, and men women and children are dying in their millions.
I know where I would rather money be spent - helping to save lives rather than for war.
