 Schools and allotments

My partner and I are hoping to move to Hebden Bridge if we can find a mooring for our boat locally. We want to know what the current situation is regarding schools and allotments. Are there any allotments available in the area? Or are there huge waiting lists? What are the schools like? Our daughter is 7 in April. She was home educated up until fairly recently but currently goes to a Steiner based school (though not part of the Waldorf Federation). What are the local comprehensives like?
