I have just got email, so please excuse the late response to the messages posted in September.

Homeworkers may find useful support and advice (as will those thinking of starting homeworking) from the 'West Yorkshire Homeworkers' Unit' tel 0113-2444937; freephone 0500-296699.

General information on the employment rights brought in by the government can be found on the IDS and DTI websites. There may be some surprise that after all the criticism of the Labour Government for breaking with Labour's past (which sort of assumes that the Labour Party formed Socialist governments in 1924, 1929-31, 1945-51, 1964-1970 and 1974-1979 - which is a brave assumption)there is a great deal more going on than is reported by the media. For instance, did the Guardian report that Work Based Learning for Adults will become available to those facing redundancy in vulnerable industries immediately they have to sign on - rather than waiting for 6 months? Nope. And there's lots more than that.
