I would just like to express my thanks to everyone who attended the meeting at the Kings Centre and spoke against the ridiculous Garden Street monstrosity.

Separately, like thousands of others (Mr Fletcher, the majority), I would like to express my particular thanks to Anthony Rae for all the work he has done to save Hebden Bridge from having its own "blot on the landscape".

I notice that in the inspector's report he refers to the developers asking for costs to be awarded. Does anyone know what happened to that request and whether it referred to the costs of the enquiry or all of the costs involved in the ridiculous scheme?
