I've just read the transcript of our MP Chris McCafferty's contribution to the debate on the time limits for abortion. It was good to see her standing up for the rights of women and the way she countered the opposing arguments by stressing the need for sexual health education and respect for women's right to make the choice for themselves if they need to end their pregnancy.
I was interested to see her reference to the fact that Dutch women have less abortions than in other countries and better sex education.

Interestingly most Dutch mothers who carry their baby to term have their child delivered by a midwife at home, the happiest and most normal place to give birth. Resources there are clearly being focused on a good start for wanted children.
