I am replying to Roy Stockdill's piece on William (Billy) Holt.
Billy was a father's cousin. My father was the son of his Aunt Maggie (featured in I Haven't Unpacked). I met Billy one day just before I started at the London School of Economics in Sept 1973. My father and I met him at Kilnhurst. I went on to read his favourite subjects - history, politics and sociology. I also have a deep urge to write and I am sure it comes from the genes. I have a signed copy of I Havent Unpacked dated lst Sept 1973. I am in the process of tracing all relatives and doing a family tree. My father died 3 years ago and his sister Eunice died about 8 years ago (well into her 80s.)
I am interested in Billy's rich and varied life. Would love to hear from anyone with any information at all.
